8 killed, 20 hurt as explosion destroys TTP commander’s compound
HANGU: At least eight militants were killed and over 20 injured in an explosion at hideout of an militant commander in Orakzai Agency on Saturday.
According to Khyber News correspondent, the explosion occurred at the hideout of the TTP commander Nabi Mullah in Spintal area of the agency. The cause of the explosion could not be ascertained. However, the compound was completely collapsed with the huge blast.
About eight dead and 20 injured have been shifted to Hangu hospital while many injured were on the way to hospital.
The hospital sources said that the death toll could rise as the condition of the some injured was serious.
There were differences between Nabi Mullah and Mullah Toofan, two main commanders of TTP in Orakzai. However, no one claimed responsibility for the explosion.
According to some reports, the explosion was a suicide attack on TTP commander.
