BARA: One of the NATO truckers was killed when armed miscreants opened fire at a truck carrying supplies in Jamrud Bazaar of Khyber Agency on Monday. 

According to official sources, the driver of a truck carrying NATO supplies was killed when unknown men opened fire at it while it was passing through Jamrud Bazaar. Levy personnel present at the scene returned fire and as a result the miscreants fled. 

It merits a mention here that NATO supply convoy came under attack on July 27 after which the supply was suspended. 

However, a manager of a transport company told media that the slain driver was transporting goods of Afghan Transit Trade. The manager of private transport company, Anwar Saeed in his discourse with media men claimed that the killed driver Shahzad was an Afghan refugee working as a transporter for a private company. The containers were carrying poultry birds from this side of the border to Afghanistan, the manager added.
