SC summons Advocate General in Uzma’s brother murder case

ISLAMABAD: The Supreme Court of Pakistan summoned Advocate General Khyber Pahtunkhwa on July 20 with all the record of the murder of real brother of district Karak’s gang rape victim Uzam Ayub. A three member bench headed by Chief Justice Iftikhar Muhammad Chaudhary heard the case against the release of murder suspects on bail. During hearing, Uzam Ayub apprised the court that her brother was gathering clues which would eventually lead up to her one year long rape episode, but he was murdered to impede the process. Uzma said her life was in danger and one Hakimullah, Assistant Sub Inspector (ASI) tried to abduct her. Counsel for Uzma informed the court that while ASI Hakimullah was in handcuffs, he openly gave life threats. Uzam presented before the court a mobile phone memory stick containing a video recording of Hakimullah’s threatening disposition. The court summoned the Advocate General KPK along with all the record on July 20.
