NAB summons SC registrar, Arsalan Iftikhar
ISLAMABAD: Arsalan Iftikhar and his business partner Ahmed Khalil refrained from appearing before NAB’s Joint Investigation Team (JIT) due to reservations over investigation officers while NAB summoned Registrar Supreme Court, Dr Faqeer Husain on Monday.
Besides Arsalan Iftikhar, the NAB had also summoned Salman Ahmed and Ahmed Khalil. Salman Ahmed, who is currently in the United Kingdom told NAB officials that his life was in danger in Pakistan, adding that he could testify before the JIT while in the UK.
According to information received by NAB on Ahmed Khalil, he was under treatment in a German hospital.
Arsalan excused himself and Khalil from appearing before the JIT because he had reservations with Attorney General Irfan Qadir and the investigation team.
NAB spokesman apprised that the JIT was ready to fly abroad to record testimony of those wishing to testify abroad.
NAB summoned registrar SC on July 25 and Arsalan Iftikhar on July 26.
