SC orders NAB to pay rent to girls’ hostel administration
ISLAMAABD: The Supreme Court of Pakistan on Monday directed the National Accountability Bureau (NAB) to pay rent to the administration of girls’ hostel.
A three-member bench of the SC headed by Chief Justice Iftikhar Muhammad Chaudhry heard the petition filed against the NAB land grabbing of a girls hostel in Rawalpindi.
Justice Khwaja said there should be difference between NAB and land grabbing group. Counsel for NAB said offices of NAB would be shifted to Judicial complex and the hostel would be evacuated in a month. The court directed NAB to pay rent to the aggrieved party for the duration which NAB used the hostel as office. The hearing of the case was adjourned to August 8.
