ISLAMABAD: Raja Pervez Ashraf, Prime Minister of Pakistan has condemned the act of terrorism on Pakistan Air Force Minhas Air Base, Kamra during the early hours of Thursday.

 

The Prime Minister praised the gallantry of the Armed Forces in successfully carrying out an operation for clearing the Base of militants. This, the Prime Minister said speaks volumes of the high preparedness and raped response of Pakistan Air Force. The Prime Minister condoled with the family of the martyred security official Mr Asif who laid down his life in the line of duty while defending the Kamra Air Base.  He prayed to Allah to grant courage and fortitude to his family to bear this loss.  The Prime Minister hoped for early recovery of those injured during the operation.

 

The Prime Minister said that such acts of terrorism cannot weaken the resolve of the government to fight terrorists and extremists who pose a threat to the way of our lives. 

 

The Prime Minister said that he remained in constant touch with the Air Force high command during this unfortunate incident.

 

The Prime Minister said that the government and people of Pakistan are fully behind our Armed forces who have never hesitated to sacrifice their lives for the sovereignty, territorial integrity and security of Pakistan.
