Primary schools in Balochistan have no building, water, electricity

ISLAMABAD: The Supreme Court has been informed that most of the public sector schools in Balochistan have no buildings, water and electricity, Khyber News reported. 

A three-judge bench headed by Chief Justice Iftikhar Muhammad Chaudhry heard case regarding girls school in graveyard in Gujranwala. The court summoned details regarding ghost schools and said provision of education is the responsibility of the state.

A report on primary education in Balochistan was presented in the court. according to the report most the school buildings have no roofs, walls and some schools are without any building.  Around 57 per cent school have no clean drinking water facility, 87 per cent have no electricity. a report on primary education in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa was also presented. The case was adjourned for a month.
