Hangu police foil terror bid, arrest two
Hangu police foil terror bid, arrests 2 HANGU: Police Monday foiled a terror scheme involving 200 kilograms of explosives, weapons and bullets stashed in a truck possibly to struck the Awami National Party (ANP) Chief Minister Ameer Haider Hoti public address. According to District Police Officer (DPO), Dr Mian Saeed Ahmed a truck filled with explosives and weapons was seized from Dalroad area. The police stopped a truck passing through Dalroad area and upon checking discovered a huge amount of explosives, rifles and bullets. Two men were arrested in connection with crime. They were shifted to an undisclosed location for interrogation. The culprits were tasked with taking the truck to the venue where ANP leader was set to address a public gathering, the DPO added.
