Qasim Shah elected as PML-Q chief in KPK

PESHAWAR: The PML-Q has elected former minister of State and current advisor to prime minister Syed Qasim Shah as its president in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.

A meeting of the PML-Q Khyber Pakhtunkhwa chapter was held in Peshawar on Tuesday. The participants of the meeting unanimously elected Syed Qasim Shah as provincial president of the PML-Q. 

Talking to newsmen on this occasion, Qasim Shah said that the PML-Q strongly opposed drone attacks in tribal areas. However, he added, the Nato supply restoration was in national interests. He said that the PML-Q could not take any decision against national interests.

He said that the government was serious in solving the electricity crisis in the country. He said that the government has provided relief to the poor through Ramazan package.
