Life threat to Afghan couple: PHC takes suo motu notice
PESHAWAR: Chief Justice Peshawar High Court (PHC) has taken suo motu notice of the threats to an Afghan couple for love marriage, Khyber News reported Saturday.
Maryam, 22, married Hewad in Afghanistan and later escaped to Pakistan. Relatives of Maryam have threatened to kill them both.
Chief Justice Dost Muhammad Khan has summoned the couple on July 23 to court. DIG Hazara has been directed to provide security to the Afghan couple.
