3 militants, 2 troops killed in Peshawar action
PESHAWAR: At least three militants and two security personnel were killed during an operation conducted by security forces in cantonment area in wee hours of Monday.
According to police sources, the security forces were engaged in the operation against militants for several hours in the vicinity of R.A bazaar and State life square. Sources cited the escape of militants as the reason for against the militants. Following the escape, the militants easily camouflaged themselves in the densely populated area.
According to reports, security personnel had cordoned off the area and during the flush-out operation against the militants two loud explosions were also heard late in the night.
