PHC takes notice of recovery of dead bodies in Peshawar
PESHAWAR: Peshawar High Court (PHC) has taken notice of dead bodies being recovered on daily basis in Peshawar and has summoned written reply from the provincial government, Khyber News reported on Thursday.
Chief Justice Dost Muhammad Khan and Justice Roh-ul-Amin termed recovery of dead bodies on daily basis is a serious matter. Chief Justice Dost Muhammad Khan said the Constitution guarantees protection of each citizen.
He said during the last one month 116 dead bodies were recovered from different areas of the provincial metropolis.
The chief justice ordered chief secretary Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Home secretary KPK, Governor and additional secretary Fata to submit a report on September 09 in this regard.
