MQM delegation calls on President
KARACHI: A delegation of Muttahida Quami Movement (MQM) called on President Asif Ali Zardari at Bilawal House Monday.
The delegation included Dr. Farooq Sattar, Begum Nasreen Jalil, Senator Babar Khan Ghori, Raza Haroon, Dr Sagheer Adhmed and Mohammad Adil Siddiqui.
Coalition matters, situation in Karachi and in the province was discussed during the meeting.
Speaking to media representatives after the meeting, MQM leader Raza Haroon said “ the party delegation has suggested to the president that there should be a round table conference in which people from all political and religious parties should be invited.”
He said that the MQM delegation has discussed various issues with the president especially the issue of the extortionists and law and order situation in Karachi
The meeting also discussed the issue of Balochistan, Haroon added.
The MQM would contact all political and religious parties for the national conference, he said.
Haroon said that President Zardari has reassured that important decisions will be taken pertaining to law and order situation of Karachi.
