State bank receives $ 1.18 bln from US under CSF
KARACHI: State Bank of Pakistan (SBP) on Thursday received $ 1.118 billion from the United States under the Coalition Support Fund (CSF).
SBP’s Chief Spokesman Syed Wasimuddin said Thursday that the amount has been received this morning. This will be reflected in the foreign exchange reserves for next week, he added.
It may be noted that Pakistan and US had singed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) on July 31, 2012 to regularize the Nato supplies to Afghanistan via Pakistan.
The MoU, drafted under the light of the UN Charter and in line with the recommendations of the Parliament, has replaced the existing arrangement for Nato supplies.APP
