MQM leader’s squad beats up highway cops
KARACHI: Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) leader Hyder Abbas Rizvi’s security staffers Thursday allegedly manhandled the Highway Police personnel on Lyari Expressway.
According to Highway Police, the men on duty were persecuted only for stopping Rizvi’s security guards and asking them to show identification as they were armed to teeth and looked suspicious.
“They not only beat up the police but also fired shots in the air, as a result one of the tyres of a police vehicle burst”, the police added.
