Ephedrine case: Bail of Musa, Shahabuddin extended till Aug6
LAHORE: The Rawalpindi Bench of the Lahore High Court while hearing the ephedrine quote case extended the interim bail of Ali Musa Gilani and the former Health Minister Makhdoom Shahabuddin until August 6 here on Monday.
A divisional bench comprising of Justice Sheikh Najmul Hasan and Justice Shahzad Ahmed heard the case.
Anti-Narcotics Force (ANF) investigation officer appraised the court that the son of former Prime Minister Yousaf Raza Gilani, Musa Gilani and Shahbuddin were not cooperative in the investigations.
Justice Hasan warned the two defendants to cooperate otherwise their bails would be quashed.
An ANF official informed the court that the Former Director General Health, Dr Rasheed Ahmed Jumma and former Director of a Pharmaceutical Company Rizwan Ahmed have withdrawn their bail pleas, adding that the two have given their consent in becoming approver in the case, after which bail pleas were not needed.
