LHC directs YDA to cooperate in child murder case

LAHORE: The Lahore High Court (LHC) Tuesday directed the Young Doctors Association’s (YDA) that they should consult the court to resolve their problems instead of boycotting services.

Justice Ejaz ul Ahsan was hearing the case YDA strike who demanded a revamp of the service structure.

The applicant informed the court that despite court’s order, YDA were still on a partial strike which constituted as contempt of court.

The YDA’s lawyer stated that they have been protesting peacefully for their demands, which is their constitutional right.

The Punjab government’s lawyer said that the accused Young Doctors were not cooperating on child-murder case, which is why the investigation was still incomplete.

Moreover, the court ordered the accused doctors to cooperate so that the investigation may be completed on time and facts made public.

The court issued notice to general and teaching doctor groups to become a party to the case.

The hearing has been adjourned until September 1.
