RAWALPINDI: At least six people, four of them real brothers were killed when things got out of hand during a Jirga (reconciliatory session) convened to settle a land dispute late on Thursday night.

According to police sources, Waheed Qureshi and Abrar were embroiled in a dispute over land ownership. To resolve the impasse, a Jirga was called in Gulistan Colony Line No.3. But Waheed Qureshi, a party to the case, opened fire at the Jirga killing six people including four real brothers.
