3 killed, 12 injured in Quetta blast

QUETTA: At three people were killed while 12 others wounded when an explosives packed car exploded outside the house of Dr. Azam Mengal on Saryab here on Sunday. According to rescue officials, two children and a woman were amongst the dead. The injured were shifted to the hospital where three of the wounded were said to be in a critical condition. The explosion took place in the house of Dr Azam Mengal. According to the Bomb Disposal Squad (BDS), around 80 kilograms of explosives were stashed in a car which was parked outside the house. The house was completely leveled by the force of the explosion. Sources said that several nearby buildings were damaged due to the intensity of the blast. Police arrived at the scene and initiated investigation.
