Balochistan doctors strike into enters 17th day

QUETTA: The doctors in Balochistan continued their strike for 17th consecutive day in protest against kidnapping of a senior doctor.

They also boycotted their duties in the emergency departments of hospitals on Friday. The law enforcement agencies have failed to recover Dr Ghulam Rasool who was abducted earlier from Quetta on August 1. The doctors continue to stage protest for the seventeenth consecutive day.

Earlier, the doctors gave 48-hours to the government for the recovery of Dr Ghulam Rasool. After the deadline lapsed the doctors refused to work.

According to the PMA spokesman, the services of emergency in hospital will be closed tomorrow until 08:00 am if the government unable to locate Dr Rasool, the doctors will not work in emergency department on Eid as well.-- Agencies
