Jaffar Express driver spot explosives abandoned on tracks
QUETTA: Bomb Disposal Squad (BDS) was called in after driver of Jaffar Express spotted a ‘suspicious thing’ abandoned on the railway tracks in district Bolan on Sunday.
According to reports, Jaffar Express was destined for Rawalpindi from Quetta and about to reach Kol Pur railway station when driver of the locomotive spotted an unusual baggage lying beside the railway tracks.
The BDS officials who arrived at the scene confirmed the presence of explosives. According to last reports, the BDS was engaged in neutralizing the threat. The train, however, had to come to a screeching halt and has been stranded for an hour now.
