PMA-Balochistan strike enters eighth day

QUETTA: Doctors and paramedical staff entered the eighth day of their strike on Wednesday. 

According to details, the Pakistan Medical Association – Balochistan Chapter announced to strike activities following the abduction of Professor Dr Ghulam Rasul eight day ago. 

All private and public health facilities were observing an all-out strike with the exception of emergency services in government run hospitals. 

While talking to media, PMA-Balochistan Chapter President Dr Sultan Tareen regretted the inaction by the relevant authorities despite the ongoing strike. 

Dr Sultan vowed to continue the strike with varying intensity till the release of Prof. Dr Ghulam. 

However, patients arriving at different hospitals from far flung areas were faced with great difficulty due to strike by doctors.
